Before the initial consultation, comprehensive imaging diagnostics are performed. This includes panoramic X-rays, small film X-rays, possibly a 3D X-ray, and photos of your teeth. These images allow me to accurately assess the condition of your teeth.

Following the imaging, I conduct a detailed intraoral examination using a microscope that provides up to 20x magnification. During the examination, you can follow the procedure live via a video headset.

Diagnosis and treatment plan after the dental check-up

The diagnosis during the initial consultation serves to provide detailed information about the health of your teeth. Based on the results, I create a treatment plan with varying urgency levels: 1.1, 1, 2, and 3.

Urgency level 1.1 (double one) indicates urgent measures that need to be taken in the next few weeks to avoid severe procedures like root canal treatments. Root canal treatments are the step to avoid at all costs because living teeth are “predictable.” Fillings or crowns in visible areas are always checked with the microscope and have a high success rate, ensuring a 10-year guarantee. This makes lifelong tooth preservation 99% possible.

  • Urgency level 1:
Measures that should be implemented promptly.
  • Urgency level 2:
Treatments that should be addressed within the next 2-3 years.
  • Urgency level 3:
Preventive measures for the long-term preservation of oral health. Prevention is essential to keep your teeth healthy and avoid future cavities, gum, or bone diseases. More information on prevention can be found here. As part of prevention, I can diagnose your oral health so accurately that after treatment, only annual check-ups are needed, and you won’t get new cavities, gum, or bone diseases.

Discussion of treatment details

Immediately after the intraoral examination, we will discuss all treatment details, possible alternatives, and the associated costs. This discussion will be based on the photos and X-rays taken earlier, as well as the printed treatment plan that you will take home.

The initial consultation typically takes 1-2 hours.

You can only treat properly what you can see. The microscope allows us to precisely examine and treat teeth and gums with up to 20x magnification. We therefore give our patients a 10-year guarantee on microscope-based treatments (except root canals).
